Le Marais is living history, where the lavish renaissance palaces line the winding narrow streets with their hidden gems of marvellous fountains, leading towards the oldest square of the city: the jaw-droppingly picture-perfect Place des Vosges. Here world-class temples of art stand shoulder to shoulder with exclusive fashion showrooms that exude the palpable charm of the bourgeoisie, and Paris\u2019s historic Chinatown is just around the corner from the traditional Jewish patisserie that still opens its doors daily in the Pletzl (the Jewish quarter).
